With the rapid development of service industry and explosive growth of inbound tourists in coming years, how can Hong Kong’s service sector seek out new opportunities and enhance its competitiveness?
Organised by Hong Kong Design Centre, Knowledge of Design Week (KODW) is one of the highly-regarded events in Asia and provides sophisticated design programme manifesting the latest global trends in innovation research and translating in-depth analysis into practical design knowledge. This year, its overarching theme is “Designing Service Futures for Retail and Hospitality”. Over 20 world-class masters will provide an integrated perspective on service design covering six categories: (1) Trendspotting, (2) Big Data Analytics, (3) Seamless Experience, (4) Spatial Experience, (5) Culinary Experience and (6) New Service Models.
The week-long programme will consist of conferences and seminars followed by hands-on workshops. It will offer participants knowledge about the latest trends in the retail and hospitality industries that will help them to build their creative confidence and spark their strategic thinking, so that they will be empowered to turn challenges into opportunities.
