Presented by PMQ and acclaimed artist Craig Au Yeung since 2015, PMQ Taste Library is the first library and creative hub dedicated to food culture in Hong Kong. It holds a curated collection of over 2,000 books exploring global food cultures — from food literature and classic recipes to culinary references and lifestyle magazines. Featuring a boutique kitchen and multi-purpose rooms, the library also serves as a vibrant space for immersive experiences, workshops, and cross-sector collaborations. Discover the endless possibilities where food, stories, and creativity meet!
From July 2026 to March 2027, PMQ Taste Library opens its doors with a fresh look, introducing the “Guest Curator” initiative. Partnering with three distinct creative units, the project will roll out three consecutive food-themed programmes. Through immersive exhibitions and innovative experiential events, the initiative aims to unite food, lifestyle, and culture enthusiasts to unlock the boundless possibilities of culinary art, creativity, and reading. By fully utilising this invaluable space, PMQ continues to explore the breadth and depth of food culture, foster cross-disciplinary exchanges, and provide a platform for creators to experiment with innovative concepts, redefining the younger generation’s culinary imagination.

If people ask me why we still need a real library and paper books in this digital age, my reply is simple – one needs time, mood and environment to read, in the same way that one needs time and equipment to cook. Through reading about food at PMQ Taste Library, we can find a refuge from our hectic day-to-day lives, while learning to treasure the culture of food that surrounds us.
