Russian food has always been a bit of a mystery to most Hongkongers, probably because there are only a few restaurants serving Russian specialties in Hong Kong. But if you have ever travelled to Russia, you will find that Russian cuisine has a plenty of delicious dishes to offer, with its variety and flavours influenced by its European and Asian neighbours.

Jasmina Mok, our guest speaker in the coming session of “Foreign Taste”, visited Russia for a 10-day trip this year ahead of the 2018 FIFA World Cup. She is going to talk about her trip to various cities in Russia, the country’s food culture, as well as some travel tips for those who are interested in visiting there.Andy Lai, curator of PMQ Taste Library will prepare a local dish called Salmon Pelmeni – dumplings made with salmon as the filling – and RAF Coffee – Russia’s version of expresso which the classic recipe meets cream, sugar and syrup – for all participants to taste.
