A book is like a friend. We understand the world and life, or even observe ourselves through texts, and have a deep realization of oneself that we are not alone. PMQ invites different people from design and culture sectors to recommend a book, so that you can enrich yourselves as book therapy.

Why would you recommend this book?

Lui Ka Chun @字字研究所: Everything about spring blooming in Books

Spring symbolises new beginning, but where should the new beginning of life be? Columnist Winifred Lai visited South America once in 2010, made her way to Peru and Bolivia in the high-altitude regions. She said that the journey is unimaginable, and can only experience yourselves.

She wrote her last book - “Mirror of the Sky” with words, photos and the illustration by Little Thunder. The book takes us on a trip to South America, it is more than just a travel journal. The journey taught her how to stay curious and excited like a child. In Peru, she experienced solo travel; in Bolivia, she visited Mirror of the Sky, and when language and time do not exist, she finds that the nature is a test of tolerance. She realised the experience does not only cleanse her mind and soul but it’s a process of detonation and free up the space in her mind. She brought home with such a realisation.

A journey can change everything; every stage in life can be a journey; after we have gone through it, we start all over again.
