Gallery tete will begin hosting a solo exhibition of ceramic artist Tsutomu Takeshita at PMQ starting November 15. Born in 1986 in Nagano Prefecture, Takeshita established his studio in Toki City, Gifu Prefecture, known for its ceramics. His works are influenced by Korean Joseon white porcelain, incorporating subtle variations of rustic beauty, showcasing a simple yet refined style.
This exhibition focuses on his recent tea ware, along with everyday vessels and flower vases.
Mr. Takeshita has described his works as “frames for presenting food.” His vessels do not assert themselves but quietly accompany the tea and dishes, allowing them to take center stage—this serene aesthetic is embodied in each piece.
We hope everyone can incorporate these works into their lives and feel the comfort and beauty they bring.
