Here are the program details.
Introduction Workshop Program
Healing strings | 10:00 – 13:00
1. Healing power of string instruments. History and backgrounds of monochords from different traditions.
2. Different variations of monochords and healing harps, how size, shape, wood, type of strings and other aspects affect the sound.
3. Using different types and sizes of monochords for different types of group and 1-1 sessions. How to choose best instrument for your sessions.
4. Different ways of playing monochords – meditative technique Ocean of sounds, rhythmical ways of playing monochords, adding accents. Special tools to play monochord : different sticks, bow, tone bar.
5. Playing monochords acoustically and with amplifiers, what’s the difference, where and how to play monochord with amplifier/sound system, settings and etc.
6. Care recommendations for your monochord, where to store, measure of the humidity, cleaning and maintaining routine. 7. Practical part with participants, playing different techniques all together.

Lunch Break | 13:00 -14:00

The Instruments | 14:00 -16:30
1. Different types of tuning of the monochords. Which tuning to choose for your practice. 432 and 440 hz
2. How to tune your monochord. Technique and practice. How to change the tuning. Practice all together.
3. How to replace the string if it breaks, which strings to use, what tools are necessary. Practice all together.
4. Monochords and Tibetan bowls. How to combine, how to choose the bowls to play together.
5. Monochords and Crystal bowls. How to combine, how to choose the bowls to play together.
6. Monochords and other healing instruments like seed shaker, flutes, nose flutes, jaw harps, rain shakers/pillars and etc, how to combine.

Short break | 16:30 – 17:00

Practicum Training | 17:00 -19:00
1. Monochord and voice. Simple techniques how to start using your voice as healing tool together with monochord. Practicing all together.
2. Private session with monochord on body. How to structure the session, benefits and contraindications, aftercare. Practice
3. Split group into 2 parts and create short version of Monochord healing session for each other.
