Loupe is a design community in the heart of Hong Kong. It is a destination where people can come together and appreciate the simple, elegant details that make up an artistic existence.

There is a residency program for young jewelry designers to cultivate their skills amongst international peers, while throughout the year there are public workshops and seminars taught by industry professionals from around the world.

Loupe is the first of its kind in Hong Kong, a culmination of East and West aesthetic heritage and design innovation. It is ultimately an environment for idea and experience sharing built upon passion, art, and an enthusiasm for life.

1. Jewcells Pearl Workshop

Jewcells is a HK contemporary Jewellery brand that creates pieces not only with gems and metal, but also with passion and soul. Students will learn how to professionally open an oyster to find a pearl they can personally design into a special one of a kind pendant.

  • Materials used: Shell with a pearl, Extra loose pearls, Transparent container, Shell opener, Sterling silver open rings, Tissue, Plates, Table cloth, and Pliers

2. GIA GemKids Minerals and Gemstones Workshop

GIA GemKids is an experience sharing workshop taught by professional GIA instructors that teach children the difference about minerals and gemstones in fun and engaging ways.

3. Chinese New Year Big Buddha Charm 3D Model Printing Workshop

Perfect for Chinese New Year, students will learn how to design their own auspicious Big Buddha charm to provide them with luck throughout 2018!

  • Class A: 21 January 2018 (Sun) | 3:00pm – 6:00pm
  • Price: $550
  • Materials used: 3D printing machine, painting material and tools, silver wire, pliers and jewelry fittings
  • Finished product: Big Buddha Charm Pendant
