The historical development of Bhutan has been deeply influenced by Tibet. Her myths, cultural values, rituals etc. have been greatly influenced by Buddhist doctrine and practices. Most of the Bhutanese art we see today were after the 17th century. Their styles were inherited from the Tibetan Miantang school of painting and developed their own unique elements.

In this workshop, we hope to introduce these unique elements of Bhutan’s traditional art, so that participants can get spiritual journey through the workshop.
