小編啲 | 老編與小小小編: After reading "The Illusionist on the Skywalk and Other Short Stories", I checked the history of Chung Hua Market Bazaar. It was completed and opened in 1961 and was demolished in 1992. This huge shopping mall has only existed for 31 years, which is extremely short.

However, the existence of Chung Hua Market Bazaar has always been the collective memory of a certain generation of Taipei people. 吳明益 created a magician who never existed and recounted the story of the mall and its residents in words, as if the readers could travel back in time and witness the golden period of the mall. You could almost hear the booth hawkers on the street, and the children's playing sound between buildings.

Many buildings have become a historical legacy. The creator recollected the memory pieces and put the pieces together to form a story that will last forever.
