Leaving home, going on wanders, waking up not knowing where I am.
“Come back, come back to me”, a voice is calling.
Determined to set my feet again on the streets and alleys of the city
that I once knew and feel so foreign now,
I become a flâneur,
rediscovering, learning, and understanding this place where I was raised.
Why do a ride from Tung Chung to Central through the window of the Airport Express and the centurial history of Hong Kong feel alike?
Why does the unremarkably looking hotel Mandarin Oriental hold a special place in every Hongkonger’s heart?
Why were the Bank of China Building and the Bank of China Tower built higher than the HSBC Main Building?
Why was the Peak Tram painted originally green and later red?
Let’s wander through Central to find out the answers with Craig.

We’ll be listening to stories while tasting Chinese Shortbread, Chinese Crispy Cookie and English Muffin with Rose Jam by Mandarin Cake Shop.

Language: Conducted mainly in Cantonese
