【Going Green with Blue! Natural Dyeing with Food Waste!】
In our daily life, we create tons of food waste, from the banana peels to the leftover rice that you could not finish at lunch. But with your creativity, food waste can possibly be turned into something functional and trendy! For example, the cooking water from boiling a red cabbage can be turned into different hues of blue dyes with some acidic or basic substance. PMQ Taste Library is going to collaborate with Run 2 Tree Studio in this April and hosting a workshop on dyeing towels with blue dyes made from red cabbage. We both hope to arouse public awareness to reduce and reuse food waste by turning them into an unique piece of art! Let’s go green with blue! Sign up NOW!
Each participant will receive one 75cm x 36cm cotton towel for this dyeing workshop. The cost of the towel is included in the class fee.
