As digital technology and AI rapidly take over daily life, will the traditional businesses tucked away in our streets and alleys fade into the tides of time? Or might art-tech offer fresh ways to reinterpret the stories of these community treasures, opening up new perspectives?
Last year, the “SATA Summer School” saw four Artist-Mentors and their Artist-Mentees visit and study four long-standing traditional businesses in the Central and Western District. They explored through four artistic approaches: Bio Art, Sonic Art, Graphic Art, and Electronic Art, to unearth and reinterpret the wisdom and value of these shops through art.
Inspired by these artistic processes, “SATA Satellite” distills these artistic journeys into a mini exhibition featuring selected works from the project and multiple art workshops. Join us to discover unique local shops through the fusion of art and technology, expanding imagination through various media!
