According to the development blueprint of Hung Shui Kiu launched in 2016, Hung Shui Kiu will soon become the “Regional Economic and Civic Hub” for the New West New Territories in Hong Kong. The whole construction progress will be conducted in stages which expected to be finished around 2037/38.

Hung Shui Kiu is an ordinary piece of Hong Kong that you may not find a stunning spot worth a go, or you may not see historical buildings that worth preserving. However, this ordinary scenery is actually the best reflection of the days that Hong Kong were like in the last century. Here you can find a traditional local wet market, bridges that connect the east and the west side of the city, egrets, walled villages, huge trees, farmland and so on, but when the construction is done, we are not sure if you would see them again.

We, Seika Studio, believe that conservation work should begin with knowledge and understanding, which is why we are trying our very best to record the heart-stirring moments that we see every single day.
