Chris Cheung X Soilworm Lai

PMQ Creative Voice will join deTour 2021 to hold a design dialogue on this Saturday (24/7): 【有(冇)用?】 The dialogue will be presented by Chris Cheung and Soilworm Lai, who have participated in deTour over the years. Hosted by Adonian Chan and Chris Tsui of the deTour 2021 curatorial team “Trilingua Design”, they will discuss the relationship between the curatorial team and co-creators under the open call for creative proposals, and share how to extend the entire curatorial process of conception, organization and management.

About Speakers:

Chris Cheung | XCEPT/XCEED/XPLOR
Chris Cheung is an artist who is well-known for avant-garde electronic audiovisual performances and new media art installations. His creative style and aesthetics are unique, and his concept blends tradition and the future. His works are born out of the integration and innovation of Eastern and Western philosophies. His works have won many international and local awards.
He established the new media art team XCEPT/XCEED in 2008, and recently established the XPLOR laboratory and FutureTense platform to promote the development of new media art.

Soilworm Lai | STICKYLINE
Stickyline was founded in 2011 by Mic Leong & Soilworm Lai. Focusing on paper engineering and structure development, the creative duo have been transforming two-dimensional planes into three- dimensional forms through deconstruction and reconstruction. By folding and creasing, they have created art and design in its own form as installation art, sculptures, stage designs, window displays, etc.
