The twelve zodiac animals take turns to gate-keep the years. This year, the tiger is finally in the spotlight. Yet, the king of beasts feels uneasy — he secretly admires the cats that seem to charm everyone effortlessly. The tiger wonders: don’t we both belong to the same feline family? Why do we take different path?
Eleven years since its last appearance, the tiger was set to awe the world with its royal return. Instead, it has decided to greet the public in a fortune cat attire with golden bell. Pawing and meowing, the tiger seems to have mastered the enigmatic qualities of his cat counterparts.
As much as we are impressed by the tiger’s effort, we still have to maintain a safe social distance with it under COVID. Don’t worry — the tiger is still happy to greet you behind the glass partition! Together with local design team Stickyline, PMQ introduces two large fortune-making installations made with the craftsmanship of origami and galvanized iron to celebrate Chinese New Year with a touch of humour.
Upon any spending at PMQ will receive a special packet for hand-making a tiger-bell accessory. Be sure to wear this with your new year attire to celebrate the tigerish turn of the year!
