Celebrate the spirit of Czech Christmas at “CzechXmas at PMQ”, presented by the Czech Consulate in Hong Kong and co-organized by PMQ. A special exhibition “Hang it On” curated by renowned Czech glass artist Linda Procházka will showcase the long-standing tradition and exquisite craftsmanship of Czech glass ornaments. 20 unique brands including world-class glass producers and contemporary Czech designers will light up 20 Christmas trees at PMQ for an unforgettable festive season.

A series of guided tours and workshops also offer the public to engage in Czech glass culture, food and music via interactive experiences.

Join a guided tour of the “Hang It On” exhibition by Czech designer and curator Linda Procházka. Learn about the exhibition’s creative concept, the unique craftsmanship of different traditional Czech glass brands, as well as fascinating innovations and collaborations by contemporary Czech designers. The tour on 21 December will be followed by a hybrid online talk “World of Wonders” by Mr. Petr Nový, Head Curator of Museum of Glass and Jewellery in Jablonec nad Nisou.

Czech designer Linda Procházka will share about Czech Christmas traditions and demonstrate how to make your very own glass bead ornament with Rautis glass beads. Join to get a taste of Czechia’s exquisite craftsmanship, and bring a Czech Christmas ornament home.

Czech designer Linda Procházka will guide participants to decorate their own spherical glass ornament using materials from authentic Czech brands Slezská tvorba and Irisa. Learn how to paint beautiful Czech patterns and personalize a special message as a gift for yourself or your loved ones in this special holiday.

Design a one-of-a-kind Christmas card to share your blessings with your friends and family! Czech designer Linda Procházka will lead participants into creating colourful patterns with Ornella glass beads on a card provided by the Hong Kong letterpress printing and design studio, Ditto Ditto.

Czech singer Marcell, chef Vaclav Postolka and PMQ Taste Library guest chef Erikson Ting present to you a special Christmas experience sharing Czech food and music. Enjoy traditional specialties such as the popular braided sweet Christmas bread, minicakes and snacks, while listening to contemporary Czech music and stories about Czech food culture.
