In collaboration with the creative team Loftwork, the four-day summer camp will help teenagers develop a strong sense of empowerment and create positive impacts on their living environment. Through exploring Sheung Wan, with a series of critical thinking exercise and technical training sessions, they will learn from the design thinking process which includes research and collects useful data, finding problems, and eventually attempt to solve the problem with prototypes or other methodologies created by themselves.

Summer Camp Schedule

• Day 1- Discover Sheung Wan

Through a series of exploration and idea generation workshop as well as field research, participants will explore Sheung Wan in terms of its culture, environment and community.

• Day 2&3 – Bring Creativity into Life

Participants will attend different workshops according to their needs for the research topic and make the final prototype. They can select APP and IOT based workshops or making based workshops including digital fabrication such as 3D printing and laser cut. Think it, and do it. Creativity doesn’t just stay in your mind but comes alive in your hands!

• Day 4 – You are the Change Maker

Participants will refine their prototype in the morning and participate in a presentation and storytelling workshop before final sharing. Time to bring positive impact to the daily lives through creativity!

About the Tutors

• HARVEY CHUNG was graduated with a Master of Architecture from Yale University and is currently Co-Founder of Loftwork Hong Kong and Guest Lecturer in the Department of Architecture at the University of Hong Kong. His research areas include fabrication and automated digital processing technology. He has profound experience in digital design and
• TIM WONG holds dual Master degrees in Architecture and Urban Design from the Harvard University Graduate School of Design. He has worked in urban design in the United States, the Middle East and several Asian cities for many years. Previously a guest lecturer in Tamkang University in Taiwan, he is currently Co-Founder of Loftwork Taiwan and Hong Kong.
