Living in this fast paced world, when everything can be mass-produced with the advancement of machinery, our hands seem to have lost our senses in making. Traditional crafting has also gradually transformed from the combination of one’s body and soul to a leisurely trend.
However, these three artists determined to revisit these traditional crafting techniques, interpreting and transforming ceramic hand building, needle working and woodworking skills. Through exploring these crafting methods and incorporating with their specialized metal work, they have created several series, manipulating the language of contemporary jewelry to exemplify their love for these traditional crafts, hoping to further the beauty and authenticity in hand crafting.
