This workshop is an introduction into metalsmithing. The tutor will teach participants the different ways metal can be used to create and decorate a piece of jewellery. Basic skills including texturing, antiquiting and polishing metal will all be taught. Participants will also learn how to drill metal, polish, add textures, or oxidise to experiment with color, shape and form. Each person will create and design two pendants by the end of the class. The most interesting moments in jewellery come out from mixing interesting pieces together, as well as finding new tools to make a unique pattern and look!
