The Japanese word “せいか” or “seika”, which literally means “blue flower”, is referring to the traditional “blue and white porcelain” (“青花瓷” in Chinese) originated from the Tang Dynasty of China. We have a great admiration to this refined and elegant antique and we would like to translate this aesthetic concept in our own works.
ARTIST’S BACKGROUND
Ho Tze Chun Billy is an artist and an art teacher. He established his own studio “Seika Studio” in 2017 and he is one of the co-founder.
