FOUNDER’S BACKGROUND

The name of ArtèThing stems from “Art and Thing”. We value Contemporary Conceptual Art in which the “Intangible” nevertheless has physical constraints and might not be considered in the majority art market in Hong Kong. ArtèThing is an artist-run independent art space to value contemporary conceptual art practice and supports emerging artists for consistent development. Our purpose of supporting emerging contemporary artists by architectural their ideas from curation, exhibition, and art project management, then diversifying and articulating the idea into art object/ project elaboration to achieve consistent development.
