Our November exhibition is “TOKYO CRAFTS & DESIGN”.

It was launched by the oldest Japanese public museum under the mission of “The museum which values the tradition and promotes the marriage of tradition and new life”.

TOKYO CRAFTS & DESIGN aims to create new traditional craftworks by collaboration between traditional craftsmen who need product ideas that suit modern lifestyles and designers who want to apply their ideas and designer to the crafts.

After its debut, it held exhibits in a number of international trade fairs and their works are highly appreciated.

The current exhibition will introduce the entire product line, encompassing items created in 2012 to new works released in 2014. In addition, materials and specialty tools utilized in the production process will also be on display to provide background to the creation of these crafts.
