Analogue photography like a craft, which needs great patience in the process of photography。

In the absense of preview function, nor the convenience provided by technology, analogue photography embraces experience and advance planning to ensure the accuracy of image.

Without rely on the post editing by software, release-the-shutter is a slight movement that requires high accuracy, and responsible for the exactity.

Different from digital photography, the analogue photography is not only about the image, it is the result of the perfect steps taken through the photo process.

To photographer, Dino Paul, it is an entiquette of photography, that means patience, experience, and focus, to deliver the conceptual image into the photographic film.

In this exhibition, Dino Paul Ip travels along the waterfront of the city with his large format f/206 pinhole camera. He explores the environment in a traditional way that requires the highest accuracy and sensitivity towards the beautiful mix of light, color and shade. In the seconds or even minutes of exposure time, he captures the unusual aspects of our city , through the 0.36mm diameter pinhole onto a piece of 4”x 5” film negative that show us the genuine and uniqueness of analogue photography.
