In order to match up the theme “Dreams and Wonders” of Le French May Arts Festival, for this upcoming exhibition, we would like to present Vanwood’s Glass Eglomise series. Glass eglomise is a traditional technique apply fine and delicate drawing directly onto glass surface. The smoothness and translucent quality transform glass into canvases that can merge and interact with different media. For this series of glass art, we mainly worked with gold/silver leave, the fragileness and silkiness of the material allow each detail to expose on the opposite side of the glass.

At the same time Lighting become an essential element along glass eglomise since the quality of light can influence the feature and mood of the outcome, thousands of unexpected outcome can be enhance with different media. The flexibility of glass lead our artists to explore the possibilities to a new level of approach in different design aspect. Meanwhile, we have developed a strong sense of craftsmanship base on glass eglomise throughout this ongoing experimental journey.
