GIA’s June seminar celebrates the world of pearls. Participants will learn how to tell the difference between freshwater, baroque, and cultured pearls, different hues and shapes, as well as identify species of mollusks that create each pearl. From early seafaring merchants to monarchs who valued pearls over diamonds, this natural gemstone has captivated the human imagination with tales of mermaids and underwater kingdoms. This seminar will introduce and clarify all the myths that have surrounded pearls throughout history.

*Includes one Jewellery Delicacy tea set provided by Loupe’s Teahouse.
